OIL firesSimulatOr

One of the characteristics of an oil fire is that the organizations in charge of the operational intervention for a given region generally monitor several depots.

The simulator- Oil Fire allows three types of actions through a generator of 2D depot description.

The 2D description of each depot of the region:

· type and physical characteristics of the tank

· basins

· sub-basins

· product contained by each tank

The definition of the fire

· tank fire in a mobile-roof tank

· fire of opening in a fixed-roof tank

· basin fire

The calculation of parameters essential to fight a fire:

· calculation of application rates of the foam

· calculation of temporizing rates

· calculation of the probable time a boil-over may happen

The monitoring of the evolution of the simulated fire:

· calculation of the radiation emitted by the tank in fire

· calculation of the radiation absorbed by the other elements of the depot

· calculation of conduction in the case of a basin fire

The simulation of the operations allows to display the operational practices implemented by the intervening organizations, according to the number and types of means employed.

Generator of 3D depot description

Whatever the type of disaster, one of the problems for intervening organizations is the knowledge of the disaster location. The URBAN RISKS simulator – Oil Fire can display a view of the disaster as realistic as possible through an automatic module of 3D description of the depots.
